Q&A

Let's see what the readers are asking the author

Q: What made you want to write sparks and slapshots?

A: There's no exciting answer for this LOL! I'm a hockey freak. I love watching it, playing it (street... I'm a baby deer on ice), and going to games in person. So when hockey came to the olympics, I FREAKED. My hiatus from writing was wearing off, and I knew I had to write it. So Sparks & Slapshots actually got me out of my writing break and put me back on the map

Q: Do you plot your stories out or do you fly by the seat of your pants?

A: I use to be a pantser kind of writer, but now I outline everything

Q: Whats your favorite part of being an author?

A: The readers. Making new friends. Getting to be creative with people who love reading

Q: What inspires your characters and how they interact with each other?

A: Things I see "in the wild" and weird things my spicy brain comes up with. The joys of never being able to turn off my mind. It truly helps when it comes to character development and world building.

Q: How many books are you planning to write?

A: A metric shit ton.

Q: How long does it take you to write a book?

A: Depends on the book. I was able to write Sparks & Slapshots in a little over a month because it didn't require a lot of world building and descriptions. A Sea of Salt & Ruin took me four months to write.

Q: What snacks do you eat while writing?

A: I'm not much of a snacker while I'm writing, but I definitely go through a lot of drinks! Tons of soda cans, coffee cups, and insulated water bottles are constantly littering my desk.
